Woodland Organics
I took a quick trip out to nearby Englemere Pond after the torrential rain of the morning in search of abstract images for Ingeborg’s Abstract Thursday organic challenge, and perhaps some birdlife on the pond.
So the pond was pretty well empty of life, and the surrounding wood and heath land looking drab, boring and wet - I probably wasn’t feeling at my most appreciative of the conditions. However, I enjoyed my walk in the end and back at the computer actually found I had a few decent images to work up as abstracts.
I spotted this dead tree trunk harbouring a colony of bracket fungus and liked the undulating effect. So with a bit of a play with colours etc. here is my entry for today’s challenge.
