Don't stick your tongue out!

The acanthus in our garden is just coming into flower. Rude thing! Small wonder one its common names is the Oyster Plant. Less obvious is why its more common common name is Bear's Breeches. I confess to not knowing that bears wore breeches. They don't for Mr Attenborough, anyway.
