Breabach with SNJO at Celtic Connections

A wok day for me then straight into town on the train to meet my husband for a lovely meal in a Vietnamese restaurant near the concert hall.
When I booked the tickets for tonight’s concert I had no idea what it would be like. It’s an odd concept to have a traditional Scottish folk band playing on the same stage as the Scottish National jazz Orchestra but it worked really well. There was such a variety of instruments and together they created a wonderful sound. I did find it funny that the folk musicians to the left, dressed in colourful clothes, smiled a lot while the jazz musicians to the right, dressed in greys and blacks, showed little or no facial expression!
Work along with most other things, including Celtic Connections, has been cancelled for tomorrow due to the Red Weather Alert. It was very calm outside when we got home at 10.45pm, ‘the calm before the storm’ I presume!
