Testing times ....
I'm on my way home after a shorter than planned return visit to Edinburgh today.
I had planned on staying over but Storm Éowyn put paid to that and am now on the 20.55 bus to Broxden where T will pick me up. The bus is quiet (as was bus station) and I even got my favourite seat.
The occasion was a book group meeting and not just any meeting but our 10th anniversary celebration which I didn't want to miss.
We congregated in the Conan Doyle and a quiz set by HazelH. My team won - yey. We then headed round to a cafe round the corner for The Syrian Supper Club which was being held to raise money for Cyrennians. The food was tasty and the chat was great as usual. Here's to next 10 years .Contrasting views of our supper table can be found here: Eventful | ArcLight | Blipfoto and here:Dash | Ridgeback13 | Blipfoto
I arrived mid-afternoon and went to Scottish Portrait Exhibition with LauraM and then we went to HazelH for tea and chat before the main event
We all received the Red Warning Alert at 6pm - which you certainly couldn't miss.
It was lovely seeing everyone and I'm glad I didn't have to miss it.
