Dead

Someone asked me how my day was going today. The honest answer was "horrible". Shall we just leave it there (which is a rhetorical question but I feel the need to add some appropriate punctuation)?

I need to get a, sorry, two, new batteries for my car keys. It's very annoying that you can only get them in massive multi packs when the ones you don't use are already dead by the time you get to them.
