Dire warnings
My phone exploded around 5.50 this evening on my way home with a red alert warning for the expected arrival of Storm Eowyn tomorrow. Scotrail has already cancelled all trains tomorrow and now Lothian buses are going to be suspended for most of the day. Museums, parks and public buildings will remain closed. We have been told to work from home.
To add to the drama on the way home, all the tills in the Co-op taking cards were out of action, though fortunately they were still able to take cash. I did think it was curious that there was a big queue at the ATM when I went in. I managed to pay with my emergency tenner that was buried at the bottom of my bag.
Anyway, my blip shows the calm before the storm - Dean Street this morning.
