Winter Blues

Afternoon clouds consumed our morning sunshine. The starlings were out in force but scattered once the mealworms were gone. I’ve since replaced them in hopes the bluebirds find them first • This beautiful bluejay dropped in for a few peanuts but the starling feeding frenzy soon drove him off • Kind of a quiet day focused on laundry and a bit of housework. Soon I’ll be making a split pea soup for dinner, perfect for a cold winter’s night. We’re looking forward to watching American Primeval, a new miniseries on Netflix • Peace & Love
