Playing trains

As E was sent home from nursery with a temperature yesterday, she wasn't allowed back today.  Her parents work from home so I went to look after her.  

E played nicely for a while and we built a railway out of Lego.  Her dad put his head round the door after a while and she wanted to play with him.  I tried to interest her in other toys and activities but all she wanted was her dad.  After a while he was trying to type on his laptop with E sitting on his lap.  It was windy and pouring with rain so going to the park wasn't an option.

By lunchtime it was obvious that there was no point in staying so I left them. They were going to take it in turns to work during the afternoon.

I picked F up and we went to do the food shopping before I came home. Storm Eowyn is forecast for tomorrow so it will save going out if the conditions are bad.

By the time I had got home and had something to eat, the rain had stopped and the sun had come out but it was too late (and too cold) for going to the swings.
