Gently down the stream

Longtailed Tit

We have an extraordinary mix of weather today.  It started with grey gloom, then flashes of sunshine on my reserve walk, where I managed to get this single shot of a longtailed tit (with the camera set to portrait rather than landscape because I'd been blipping fungi that way!)  After this it went back to gloom, then while I was in town torrential rain which finished off my umbrella so I had to bin it and buy a new one from Marks.  I also discovered on getting home water had poured into the conservatory so I had to get the builders round.  They've diverted the downpipe but will be back tomorrow to fix it.

Life can be very expensive ;(

Then the sun came out again and now it's gone.  This surely must be the skirts of Storm Eowyn.  Or perhaps I should say the forerunner.

Still I did like this bright-eyed little person and hope that s/he managed to stay safe in all that rain.  What birds manage to survive does astonish me at times.

Ditto people!

Have a good evening, all  xx
