Summer on Dollymount Beach
Taken from Dollymount beach across Dublin Bay into the city... Playground of my youth where I learned to swim and play.. Where jam sandwiches were crunchy because your hands were full of sand.. Where the sea was sometime half a mile out... Where tea was made with hot water bought from a vendor.... Where you walked home... glorious fun filled innocent days... Now the beach continues to steal from the sea... The bathing shelter no longer at the waters edge.... Time passes, things change, enjoy your history but don't try to relive it.....you will be disappointed...
