Come On Mum!

A walk in the park - and I was a bit surprised to spot this tiny Mallard duckling in mid-summer. I've since found out (thanks Google) that if a brood fails earlier in the year, the adults often try again.

Mum was understandably protective of this cute youngster who zoomed round Abingdon Park lake, Northampton at high speed, occasionally turning and waiting (im)patiently for mum to catch up.
