The Tower, Balcarres Crag

We went on a road trip today, up the East Neuk of Fife to Anstruther. On our way we stopped near Colinsburgh for a walk with Arlo around the Balcarres Estate. On our way around we saw this tower on a high bit of land so followed up the paths to see it - there were great views south towards the Firth of Forth. We didn't realise at the time but the tower is a folly, with fake wall ruins (better seen here) built in 1813 to add to the views from Balcarres House. Folly or not, they were quite impressive!
