Kevin and others

Pages 2 and 3 of my new sketchbook.

Snowdrops (Galanthus Nivalis)  blipped in the Churchyard 2.1.25. ‘Galanthofiles’ are people who love Snowdrops!  Who knew.

Wild Cyclamen in the garden.  I have to cover them with netting as the Blackbirds (I think) have been trashing the soil around them.  On the day I blipped them 5.1.25 the netting was covered in lovely frosty dewdrops.

Starlings on frosty wires as blipped on 10.1.25 on a very cold and frosty but sunny day up at The Farm together with Mum and her piglets, a hungry Blackbird and ‘Kevin’ the handsome and charming Cockerel, except he wasn’t on that day and like ‘Kitty, the Greyhound, looked grumpy and cold.

After Mr HB had taken the neighbours’ dogs for a romp round the park we went to the Jewellery and Antique Roadshow which was in town today.  We took some items of my old jewellery, a 60 odd year old gold sovereign, silver cigarette case and some other items which have been in cupboards and drawers for years – very, very pleased with the money we got for them which will well cover the costs of the gas boiler repair and more left over for a treat or two perhaps.  I do have a Birthday coming up in a couple of weeks!!
