The best of times with Emma and Chester today. We (as in Emma and I!), met last summer at a networking meeting and hit it off straight away, even feeling positive that we'd met before but couldn't quite figure out where ...

The following morning she asked her husband to post the candle I'd ordered from her, for him to say on seeing the address label "I'm sure that's where my old boss lived ...". 

And turns out I am said old (!) boss and Emma and I met at a work Christmas party many (many, many!) years ago - what a crazy small world!

We've seen each other a couple of times since last summer but the networking meetings have always been a bit frantic with not much time to chat so we arranged to go for a good walk today to rectify that!

A perfect stomp involving coffee, cake, hatching plans, the sun on our faces (and mud on our feet!) and feeling like the beginnings of a new friendship. Just lovely.
