Stag's head
In the Boardroom at the Central Library on George IV Bridge, where we had our literature class meeting this afternoon. We were discussing The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbary, translated from French. It was hugely popular in France, somewhat less so over here. It contains a large number of philosophical passages and I have to confess that the only way I managed to finish the book was to skip them. However, I think I did get more out of the book as a result of our discussion. Just as well as we have another week on it.
