Watercolour

The second beginners watercolour session at the College today. Last week it was trees, today it is a field at sunset. It’s all about learning techniques. I haven’t done any painting since I was 15 and at school, and that is a long long time ago. I cannot ever recall being shown techniques, I think it was regarded as an hour out from the serious stuff we were there to learn.

The bottom two are my recent efforts, the top is tutor M’s. She was going to bin what she had done by way of demonstration, it’s a useful aide memoir.

Hopefully colourful, I’m not so sure about “ striking”.
