I joined Rachel and co. on her January Ethel bagging walk today. The weather was cold and foggy to start with, but an hour in and it was clearing and by the time we finished we had a bit of sun and some dramatic clouds.
We began from Tittesworth Reservoir, walked up to Gun and then made a decent walk of it by coming down the other side and returning to the cars the long way round. Rachel had mentioned that there was another easy Ethel a short distance away, so three of us followed her. We parked up and I was surprised to see the trig point just slightly set back from the road, a very short walk, but more surprising is that I've never noticed it before... and it's on my way to and from climbing at The Roaches. Two minutes after I set off home I pulled over to snap the sunbeams!
