Looking backwards
Lunch with Sally and we ate in the Continental Cafe which I've not visited for a while. Pre lockdown, i often had the roasted vegetables and cheese paninni as a take out. It was as good as I remembered. I took the usual food picture and one of Sally talking on her phone with Colin. We spoke about the possibility of a cooking class, others days put, holidays and catching up when we are in Madeira later in the year
Later in the day I visited Adele in her new home which is close to the second home I lived in growing up. I had to pause in front of it for just a moment. The garage and shed where my guinea pigs lived has been incorporated into the house. I was tempted to look along the side alley. It used to be hedged.
Adele made me a baileys mocha. Tasty. Her dad is currently on a stroke ward following an attempted suicide and calls her a lot saying that he needs her. Working, moving home, supporting friends too. Tough.
