The Same, but Different

Frosty leaves in the grass this morning when we took Spike to the park with his squeaker ball. My feet were fairly frozen by the time we got back in the car and repaired to Trail House.

I had a nice relaxing facial with the lovely Gail which was unequivocally offset by the news on the radio on the way home. I realize that I can't live in a vacuum or under a rock, which is the only way to avoid what the Felon gets up to, but I can try not to seek out the news or get too drawn in by it unless I feel there is something I can do about it.

There is no end to the outrageousness. Two of yesterday's 'day one' actions, alike in their cruelty, but different in their execution, were to turn off the appointment app used by the 'rapists and thieves' families with children waiting at the border in Mexico to get appointments for asylum I the US. He also ended birthright citizenship which is unconstitutional and will be tied up in court for years. The second action was to pardon members of The Proud Boys and other white nationalist groups who were jailed for their violent participation in the January 6th insurrection. The Washington DC police were outraged by this action and blamed not only the Felon but ‘everyone who voted for him’ There's no point in trying to figure out why he does what he does and I'm really tired of all the people trying to read the tea leaves and come up with an answer....
