Comfort food

This morning we had a smooth drive back to Winchester but the sky became cloudier and gloomier after a bright start. 
I made a blackberry and apple crumble this evening before we watched the first of this season's Winter Watch, coming from Arne. 
It included a delightful film of a red squirrel leaping about on rocks  over a mountain stream and devouring hazelnuts. It was only later I discovered it was Squirrel Appreciation Day today. Who knew there was such a thing??
