Watermain break!

It was bound to happen I guess when temps go so low for so long in an area that doesn’t usually have that kind of weather.

We woke up to the sound of water rushing down the street in front of our house. It froze almost instantly resulting in messy slushy piles. In the pic, one side of the road had just been cleared by a plow to allow repair equipment to get to the break. It is now 10 hours later and the crews are just covering the opening they made to remove the bursted pipe and insert a new one. Our water was turned off for about three hours but I’d already had a coffee so all was good :)
