There was banking to be done in town, afterwards a decision to continue down to the Botanics by bus.

This view opposite the bus stop caught my eye, the parade of lamp standards with tiny version in the distance (of course, merely further away...).

There was colour to be seen at the Botanics, see extra collage, in the form of winter aconites (TL), early rhododendron (TR), witch hazel (BR). and a cheerful robin (BL).

The garden closed at 4pm, 45 minutes away,  but my gammy leg protested staying longer - in any case the weather turned cold and I had dressed for visiting the bank
