Aerial Feeding
Some birds find no problems with perching on the feeder and removing the sunflower hearts with ease, while others really struggle and have to try and hover and grab one in their beaks before flying back to a branch. This female chaffinch falls into the latter category. She was still very successful going back many times while I tried to capture the intricacy of her wing feathers.
Other than that it was a swim first thing. A mile without stopping in a surprisingly under used pool. You would expect an influx of people using the sports centre after the new year but I was one of only three swimmers initially, only rising to six after half an hour as I got out.
Then visited my mother in law to change some light bulbs that had blown as well as installing a new smoke alarm (her old one stopped working).
I watched a documentary about John Williams, the composer. His body of work is immense and includes many iconic themes from the movies. It made me wonder what a movie would be like without the music to enhance the storyline. In a time when more and more composers are embracing digital music, he remains true to the symphonic approach to his creations.
