Everyday Life

Late Afternoon at Swanholme

Today we were up at a reasonable time, and I did yoga for the first time this year! We also properly cleaned the front room for the first time since being ill.

I got rid of some out of date, soggy spices too. I can't get through a whole jar before they go like that, partly because it's quite damp in the extension. I might make space for the spices in the back room.

After lunch we decided to go out to Millennium Lake to get Blips. That idea was scuppered when we arrived to find it all fenced off for new paths to be put in. It should be less muddy in future, at least.

So we ended up going to Hartsholme again. We headed for the Swanholme lakes this time, since we got Blips in Hartsholme at the weekend and the previous Thursday. The sun was quite low in the sky, and I liked how it reflected in this lake.

Whilst we were walking back, Brian got a call from the electrician. He wanted to know if we also wanted new sockets in the kitchen, or just power to the cooker and the new circuit board. Ermm... I thought that would be obvious... Doesn't everyone have working electric sockets in their kitchen? It will be a bit more expensive for those, of course...

We came home via Morrisons for the butter we forgot yesterday! I got home to a lovely surprise. My last Christmas present, a book from Jeri and Paul had been delivered! I knew it was released today but I thought it may not arrive until tomorrow.
