A late survivor
I was rather surprised to find this lily still looking good in January. It is not as though the weather has been particularly mild. We have had some sharp frosts. This morning I did the market shopping quickly as we had an appointment at the kitchen shop to sign the contract and pay a deposit. Mrs TT decided that the oven that had been suggested was too complicated as it is entirely touch operated. She likes knobs! I like my tech and the idea that I could use voice commands and an app when elsewhere in the house or even out of the house. However, as she cooks more than I do, she won the argument! We will now have a simple oven that has some additional functions but is easy to operate. I must admit that our old existing oven has sequences of operations that are virtually incomprehensible even for simply setting a timer. I went on to my tennis lesson and then to French conversation. They were just three of us, all English. It always seems a little strange to me when English people speak to each other in French when there is no Francophone present.
