New waste containers

In autumn 2023 there was an announcement from Akureyri's town council about new waste containers coming soon to every household, replacing the old system. Everyone should familiarize themselves with the new sorting and recycling guidelines.

A few weeks ago we heard the replacing of waste containers had started and finally today a crew of men arrived here in our street with a loaded truck. 
As we say in Iceland: Good things happen slowly...
