I felt obliged to watch the big event today, not through choice but more as a feeling of need to bear witness to what may be the beginning of the End. When it happens, I'll be long gone, but fear for my children and especially grandchildren.
I found out later that I could have instead watched The Puppy and Kitten Inauguration, which is much better for mental health and did raise a lot of money for animal charities. MeidasTouch streamed it at the same time as that Other One, as a protest and to reduce the viewing figures, which are very important to the orange one.
To conteract the awfulness I post a pretty picture of little flowers flourishing in a stoney environment. A metaphor maybe?
