FURTHER UPDATE

Hello all,
I thought I would give you an update on my progress.  I do hope to be back on her full time in about a week, so watch this space.

Anyway so far I've had several mammograms, 2 biopsies, a titanium clip and a magseed inserted (all for guidance for surgery and locating biopsy sights).  I've have one assessment following the biopsies and also a pre-op assessment, which included an ECG and a blood test (eeek)!!!.  You'd think by now that needles would no longer bother me - not so for me - they still get my anxiety levels way up.

I am due to go into WGH in Kendal at 7.30 on Thursday for day surgery.  I don't know whether I'm first in the queue or last so don't really know how long I will be there.  

I am scared stiff and extremely nervous but also know that I will be receiving the best possible care.  So far everyone has been absolutely amazing - the level of care couldn't be better.

My lovely friend CumbriaLass sent me this gorgeous wee teddy, "Ted" with lots of hugs from her, her hubbie and of course Fletch.  I've also received a lovely card from Gladders and Mrs Gladders with a promise to meet Toff at some point in the year.

I would just like to ask that you all send me virtual hugs and good wishes for Thursday.  I will let you know when I am able how things went, but it may be a couple of days after the op.

I do hope to be getting back on here full time in about a week or so's time as I do so miss you all.  I am so sorry that I have been absent, but I have been concentrating on getting myself through all those procedures, which for me are a big thing due to my stupid phobias.
