Travel by Train

Gareth dropped Rufus and me at Chelmsford railway station in time for the 12:48 to Liverpool Street. From there, the underground to Kings cross with a dog and luggage was a bit awkward but we managed and we were there with a few minutes to spare for our 14:00 departure to bonnie Scotland. Our destination, Arbroath, where we are staying for the week with John and Janice (Akbuk neighbours).  They were waiting on the platform when we arrived at 20:15. Back at their house, what was left of the evening was spent in catch-up with a dram or two. 

It is great to be here. I probably won't have much time for Blipfoto this week, so apologies in advance for brevity of any comments on both my journal and fellow blipmates for the next week, while I am having fun :)

Other than some restlessness around Newcastle, Rufus was perfectly behaved throughout - although he clearly didn't enjoy the underground much. Neither did I.
