Cochlear Implant Surgery

My lovely mum had her long-awaited cochlear implant surgery today.

She has had so many tests and assessments over the last year or so to reach this point. She was ready... has become increasingly deaf at an alarming rate over the last few years which has been frightening and isolating.

She came through the operation well and was surprisingly perky at visiting tonight. Fingers are firmly crossed for when she is switched on in 6 weeks or so.
