Crash

Friday morning one of our two NAS devices, the oldest one, report a corruption in one disk. The disk had become unusable. This NAS ran with these disks since I acquired it 11 years ago. And at that time cheap NAS devices didn't have all features, so in my case the disks ran 24x7.
I ordered two new disks (if one breaks, the other one will break soon too) at the big e-commerce company we all know, and they were delivered today.
I exchanged the broken with the new drive and let the device copy all data from the other drive to the new one (I have two drives with the same data on both, just in case one crashes). That took approximately 11 hours.
And of course the device reported bad sectors on the remaining disk, so I will replace that tomorrow.
