More history
Mondays start with litter picking. It’s good to be able to do something that benefits the community and whilst I’m doing it people stop for a chat and they thank me.
The photos are of a horse trough planted with Polyanthus. It is a memorial to all of the horses killed in the South Africa war 1899 - 1902. It was presented to the City of Winchester by Mrs Isabella Clowes who lived in Winchester for 69 years.
I’ve asked past this many times and not noticed the plaque.
In the evening I’ve been to choir practice. We have some new members so I’ve been doing the admin for them.
