A Stitch in Time...

 ...saves uncontrollable blood loss.

Sorry, but I couldn't resist. I wanted  a "stitch" title and all I could think of was the usual one about saving nine. This one was SO much more fun.

It was a quiet Sunday - spent with the TV on all day keeping tabs on the Hamas/Israel hostage release and, of course, the latest on the Canadian leadership race for our new Prime Minister, and oh yes, the hype about a  big deal in the USA tomorrow...some idiot is being inaugurated?

Whatever, the "news" was the soundtrack of my day..

But it was just too boring to sit and watch TV news channels all day, so I dug out my unfinished needlework project and stitched quite a few stitches on it whilst listening to said news. An excellent idea if I may say so. I made enough progress on it today to rekindle my interest in  needlepoint and will try working on it again tomorrow. Who knows? A few stitches a day may add up to a completed project in let's say, oh, about 3 years? ( It is a huge canvas)

Other than that, I looked after my neighbour Elaine's cat Dickens whilst she was galavanting off to Montreal to attend an NHL hockey game...That would be Dickens of hissing fame ... he does not take kindly to strangers even if they are there to  feed him; hence no blip photos of Dickens.

Big decision for tomorrow - Shall I watch the Inauguration or protect my sanity, my blood pressure and my TV set ( from items hurled) ?

Hmmmm...
