- Super stoked to have started my first photography project today. It's called the Faces of Kivistö (name of my neighborhood). I'll let it snowball from a blog to a zine, to an exhibition at a local venue and to a book even. Got to aim for the stars to land on the moon!

- She had started her restaurant in the middle of a forest eleven years ago come 1 February. She's sorry to see the neighborhood grow restless. The place has been broken into twice recently.

- As an afterthought I asked her what's good about the area when I sent her the pictures a moment ago. I'm still figuring out what kind of titles or captions are going to go with the pictures in the finished work. Am I going for documentary or for something a little more positive?

- Her son joined her for the one in extra.
