Grounding

I didn’t blip yesterday. We were in London visiting Andy’s family. It was a good day, 12 adults and 4 dogs (including Merlin) all gathered in one house for lunch, then conversation which extended into the evening.

It felt long day as the journey there and back took longer than usual because the A3 was shut near Wisley. It’s a consequence of the extensive roadworks and heathland restoration taking place at Wisley in Surrey. This weekend a ‘wildlife bridge’ was being installed.

Today we’ve had a steady day. I’ve made hummus, and stewed raspberries that were harvested at the allotment in the summer. I’ve also trimmed back the hedge at the end of the garden to allow some additional native hedging we put in a few years ago to have space and light to thicken up. Our dog walks have been sociable and Merlin was pleased to play with his two good friends Bertie the whippet and Gully the vizela.

I think we’ll be having a light dinner after all the delicious food we ate yesterday.

Hoping the start of your week has gone smoothly.
