Bird beaks!

These two tiny points of my amaryllis plant really reminded me of bird beaks.
I cut back some foliage in the garden today that was very dead. I'd noticed my brunnera had not survived the frost and was very upset, so imagine my delight when I found new leaves at the centre of the dead plant....yay!
