Sankey Valley walk

I was walking a section of the canal along the Sankey Valley, doing a friend's new lab cache. It's one of my favourite walking areas. I had parked on one of the car parks and when I got out of the car I noticed that the canal had flooded nearby, so I changed the walking shoes for wellies, even though I was going in the opposite direction. I needn't have bothered, the paths were fine the other way!
