Pear Apple Turnovers

What a difference a day makes.
The sun was shining when I woke up.
My new lens cap came with the newspaper.
It fits!
We walked the dog around the lake.
He found an excellent stick.
We sat on the porch with coffee and the newspaper.
I dusted and vacuumed the house.
And washed the dog.
The dog lay in the dust and then the living room
transferring a perfect dog shaped dust print.
I mopped the bathroom, flooded from the dog bath.
and washed the towels.
Peter came over and we made turnovers,
getting flour all over the kitchen.
That's why the only time the house is spotless,
is when nobody is home.
House cleaning is overrated.
Making turnovers isn't.
