Of course, later Yasser Arafat attended the signing ceremony of the Oslo Peace Accord in Washington, D.C. in 1993 with Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. Sadly, as we all know, that all fell apart under Mahmoud Abbas and Benjamin Netanyahu.
