A's 18th

Parkrun at Maldon Prom with G as RD. Freezing fog forecasted - but only turned out to be cold. I still had  issues with my breathing, so I took it easy - glad to have run it all even though a slow time. Several milestones for the volunteers, including P's 25, C's 250, J's 300, and A's 18th birthday.  They all make us proud to be part of the Maldon Prom parkrun community.  G had 3 issues which needed reports to be written to HQ but, as I reminded him, 'over 500 greatful runners and only 3 moaners', not a bad ratio.

Sofie's for breakfast,  and I felt shattered, so I bailed out of Gig race training. Instead G and I relaxed watching TV for the afternoon.

A is a twin, and it was both his, and his sister, N's 18th birthday bash. Both a credit to their mum; I was very impressed with N, who took the trouble to come over and chat to us all, even though she did not really know us. The party was fab; with lots of parkrun pals, dance music (which doesn't seem to change through the generations), and a chance to share A's 18th birthday.
