When did you suddenly appear?

As we returned to the house at lunchtime I suddenly noticed the snowdrops just inside the gate. How did I miss them, or did they just pop up in the half hour that we were out? Whatever … nice to see them come up again.

Later we got a lift to Glasgow for some family birthday celebrations with lots of nice food and good company. Afterwards, we travelled home by train, laden with presents for the birthday boy.
