Oh my goodness it was a brutal swim today. Last week the reservoir was frozen solid, this week it was about 2°. The girls didn’t stay in too long, but I made myself do about a 50m swim. Poland is only a few weeks away and I should have tried without my gloves, but I couldn’t face it. Even with my gloves my hands were agonisingly painful.

We went for breakfast in Delph afterwards and it took a while for me to stop shivering. We might have been frozen but we were buzzing. Every cell just felt alive!
