Bullfinches
Water of Leith, Currie
It was starting to get dark and, as we approached a bridge over the path, small grey shapes shuffled from the ground to scatter into stalks and branches. Some of the shapes had bright pink chests - revealing themselves to be a flock of bullfinches. Very nice to see on our way back from LH.
Did some (very) late bulb planting in pots. Otherwise a gentle pottering day.
