Day 14

Solid rain all day....and mild!  most of the snow has gone - great, but if it freezes overnight....not good!!!  Also, didn't feel like heading over to the studio, so an inside day!

I've been paying attention to some of the ways that i approach a painting, it's interesting to start really seeing what habits you have!   One habit that i'm very aware of is that i more often than not start making marks, in sketch books or on larger paintings, at the sides, of the paper, leaving a space in the middle.  So i did a couple of sketches, using ink sticks and water....and made myself start in the middle of the page!  felt very weird and i wasn't sure what to do next a lot of the time.  anyway, no great revolutions here, but just a little nudge for me to pay attention to.
