Back to Life
If derelict means abandoned or unused, then the bike I just acquired was derelict.
It was left outside for ages then jetwashed for sale. Looking at it, there was negligible wear and it hadn't been used much. Whilst everything worked, I stripped it back to the frame so that it can be checked and reassembled carefully. After degreasing everything was washed in car wash 'n' wax. It's, how I wash all my bikes because they don't need the aggressive cleaners often used, and the wax runs into every crevice and wards off corrosion. It's also quick and easy to do.
After an evening indoors to dry thoroughly this will get rebuilt. It's always amusing how few bits there are in a simple bike.
Thanks for hosting, Marlieske.
