A silver and gold day…
starting with a frost overnight that coated everything with rime, with temperatures of about -4°.The sun came up and turned everything golden. Lots of good colour. The river is quite low but tree trunks have been washed downstream and the banks streaked with signs of high water. The squirrel waited for the sun to come up then rushed through the garden, leaping from Birch to Birch then stopped suddenly to scratch an urgent itch!
