Aurora (in fabric)

We failed miserably to even see the aurorae in the autumn but still have hopes for this winter.   Gill made this fabric representation of what we remember from living in the north of Scotland.  A panel from the travelling book she does with her embroidery and textile arts  group the Warwickshire Stitchers.

The vertical threads in the 'curtain' sparkle in the light as a viewer moves their head or the light source.  I have not managed to catch that in the photograph.
