I still haven't finished the blasted VAT return!
It seems almost impossible to get anywhere with it in school holidays - especially when Richard is working. The teens come and go and come and eat and stomp and go, the dog needs keeping an eye on/feeding/walking, the 8-year-old needs company/feeding/listening to, the washing needs doing, and there's just stuff going on and needing attention continuously.
I washed about 7 loads of washing today and kept going back to the desk to have another crack at finding all the invoices I need, but I didn't really get stuck in until Richard got home. Even then I found myself having to stop and make dinner after half an hour.
I've just got some more done and now I'm tired and extremely irritable.
I've found all the invoices for 2 months and now just have to find one more month's
It's SOOOO incredibly boring and I absolutely loathe staying in one place for any length of time unless my brain is fully engaged in something pleasurable. I could lose hours quite happily when writing and even not be aware of any discomfort. But this bookwork makes me feel trapped.
I snuck off outside for a few minutes early evening when waiting for the kettle to boil and got this quick snap.
Veronica is one of this year's plant finds. It makes me think of Elvis Costello's song "Veronica" that he wrote with Paul McCartney. I bought the single when I was in my late teens. I didn't have very typical taste in music for a girl my age.
I have a headache forming. Bloody stress.
