Two-Fingered Salute
We had a very slow and sleepy start to the day. Everyone is tired. Even V had a lie-in, which is rare indeed. The weather remains pretty uninspiring. There is an icy, damp mist in the air and a thick grey cloud cover; no sunshine shall pass. I crept out early to find a photograph or two, leaning into the gloomy conditions and aiming for a moody look to the images. I visited the crooked tree on the outskirts of Canterbury, which always looks good, giving its two-fingered salute to the brooding sky above. When I shot this, I envisaged a black & white image, but during the edit, I found that I much preferred the muted colours instead.
