Today we visited the Botanic Gardens in Funchal.

The gardens are quite high up so we got the cable cars there and back. One went from the shore to Monte Palace, and the next went from the palace to the Botanic Gardens.

While I enjoyed the cable car rides and the amazing views they gave us, R found them terrifying! Poor girl had to deal with 4 rides.

The gardens are beautiful. So many different plants and flowers. There was a whole cactus section as well. Some were as big as trees!

There were also a couple of cats there. The one in the extra was trying to sleep but kept having to deal with people petting it. It often meowed in an annoyed fashion.

Now our honeymoon is all but over! We leave at 9:30am tomorrow. I'm sure we'll feel like this holiday was just a dream!
